The Ring Floodlight Cam pro 4K Review: Bold Lights, but with only Slightly improved Clarity Let me start by saying—if you already own the first-generation model, I wouldn’t recommend upgrading. The jump from 2K to 4K sounds impressive on paper, but in real use, the difference is minimal. I tested this by zooming in on license plates, and they were just as hard to read as they were with the original Ring Pro camera. The picture quality seems at times pixelated and more blurry than the first generation. The motion detection on this one doesn’t capture motion as good as the first generati
Worth it, especially with the AI features It was a bit pricey, but works pretty well and the quality of the picture was really good. I like the new AI feature too.
$1K invest in Ring flood light camar & all I wound up with, was, NO VIDEO, NO SUPPORT I have 7 ring flood light camera and 4 Wi-Fi range extender to the cost of about $!K. I pay for a year's subscription of video archiving. The last flood light camera I purchased was their new 4K floodlight camara for $279. It was plagued with software problem but I finally got it working. Because it was a new camera added to my account, it came up as a 30-day free trial of the ring video app. I call the Ring team (which takes about 30 minutes to get a representative) and they told me that when
Great Upgrade I upgraded to this Pro model after my previous Ring floodlight cam started making a constant, incredibly loud buzzing/mechanical noise after a couple of years of use. It got so annoying that I finally had to replace it entirely. So far, this newer version is completely silent, and the upgrade in video quality is night and day. The picture is noticeably crisper, details are much sharper, and the color night vision makes a massive difference for security. I’m really happy with how much better the
Great 4K resolution, easy setup, floodlights are STRONG! I had no security cameras in the backyard, and a very weak single-bulb porchlight that came with the house when I bought it that was essentially useless for lighting up anything more than a foot away from the light itself. When I saw Ring put out a 4K floodlight cam I pulled the trigger.Installation was simple, remove old light fixture, replace cross mounting bracket bar with the one included with the Ring camera, and re-hook everything back up (pictures included of original porch light and Rin
Great product but make sure you can accommodate it This is a five star product. It can be configured easily to cover what you need and not cover what you don’t need. Video is excellent, motion detector works well and the lights are very bright. But there are some things to consider. It needs decent internet connection. Be sure it is in range of your router or add a mesh WiFi system. The Ring systems don’t play well with VPN, so if you protect your browser with a VPN and your internet is interrupted or intermittent, reconnecting the Ring system
Very good quality and pictures. Heavier than compared to other cameras. Easy to install. Very good pictures. 10x zoom works well and pic stays clear. Floodlights really light up the area. Quick response to movement. There were no instructions; only a link to download the manual. Nice features to set up the camera for sensitivity, lighting, video, and pictures.
