Beautiful wide screen at good price point for moderate users I love the extra wide screen this laptop offers. Some of the software I routinely use take advantage of that space and show me additional information in a side bar which is helpful. The 512 GB of solid state "hard drive" memory storage can't be beat for responsiveness (unless you have an even bigger SSD). And I find the ability to have two windows open side by side with each still be big enough to effectively visualize and use them both while working (referencing one and working in the other) to

Nice large-screen laptop, but limited by 8 GB RAM This HP OmniBook has a lot going for it as an everyday laptop. The large screen is the biggest plus for me, and it makes browsing, documents, video calls, and general use much more comfortable. The SSD feels fast, and Windows 11 Home being included makes setup straightforward. I also like the comfortable backlit keyboard with the separate number keys. The camera is good, and video calling has been clear, which makes it useful for work, school, or home use.The main drawback is the 8 GB of RAM. For
It signed me up for McAfee spam without any consent I was (and still am) really really close to giving this thing 3 stars or worse. I knew Windows was getting bad but most other mini PCs and stuff I'd gotten at least had the Pro version. This comes with the consumer version as well as extra HP stuff. It forced me to sign in with my email just to use it. I accidentally (see trackpad notes below) left clicked on the McAfee virus icon and it opened, instead of right-clicking it to uninstall it. Within hours I was getting spam in my personal from tha
Midrange Performance, Perfect for Work and Home, Large Screen, Long Battery Life, Terrific Price Hewlett-Packard needs no introduction, nor an endorsement from me. HP has been a premier provider of electronics for decades. I still use my HP-12C calculator from 1982 and can program it to do anything but cook dinner. HP is gold. This is a midrange laptop computer where 80% of us belong. It won't dazzle with high-end gaming or fast video rendering. Likewise, it's far more than needed for simple online shopping or reading news. For the 80% of us who browse the Internet, build spreadsheets, type
