A retelling of another uniiverse, maybe ours. The art work is the first thing that grabs you. John Romita, Jr is a worthy artist to re-do Jack Kirby's vision in this iteration of this world (This UNIVERSE!). Neil Gaiman's story is compelling and awesome in its scope. I decided to read the graphic novel before seeing the movie and I'm glad I did. The movie couldn't match the scope of the venture since it's supposed to continue a cinematic storyline and franchise. More than it was though to be With the area we live in we’re the idea of having superpowers is though of as away to have an amazing life, it’s very interesting to see an off shoot of humanity that that has so many gifts not knowing about them and having to be one of the everyday people. This story is way more than a mere comic book story it’s a story about humanity, morality and life. Take a moment and take the ride.
To be continued I liked it, but the story continued. When I buy a trade book it should be a complete story.

Came beacuse of upcoming film, stayed for badass Gaiman story. Bought because I, for the first time, wanted to be ahead of Marvel story line before a movie get released and also im obsessed with Neil Gaiman. Based of the info I know about the new movie and the small amount of Jack Kirby Eternals I have read I dont think this story will have be very similar to the upcoming film. HOWEVER, if you are a Eternals, Marvel, or Gaiman fan I 100% recommend. Gaiman definitely delivers with a unique spin and captivating story. Another hand magnet, could not put down,
REAL Eternals! Not a Romita art fan (solely the sketches; weird I know!), but THIS is a great nod to Kirby & how the Eternals should be. It helped rinse that bad taste out of my mouth from the ridiculous film version.
Awesome, very similar to the movie but better Very unique story. This was my first introduction to the eternals and it was worth it. Grear artwork, clever and thought provoking story. Bought this before watching the movie and I think was able to appreciate the movie better because of reading this book first. Definitely worth a read.
Neil Gaiman reimagining Jack Kirby? Take me now Jesus.... I missed the Eternals because I was too "grown" to read comics book by the lat 70's. This was a mistake. That and giving away my comic books. #9 Spiderman. It still hurts.But I digress.Gaiman reimagining Kirby is bloody brilliant, update trying Ed costumes, plot lines, thoroughly enjoyable. Not going to spoil anything, I was curious due to the upcoming movie, and I was not disappointed. Gaiman may even make a name for himself in the Alternate Gods sub genre of literature, the boy shows promise.R
