Very sharp, straight out of the box. Very nice, lightweight knife that doesn’t lose any function by being lightweight. The blade is super sharp straight out of the box and it feels good in my hand. I ordered the 6” Nakiri knife because I wanted to try something different than a regular chef’s knife. I really like it! It cuts meats, veggies, everything I’ve tried so far very well and I like that it’s just a little different shape than other knives. Great product! Great presentation too, if ordering for a gift.
Excellent product I have a thing for kitchen knives and have a hard time passing up any knife that looks like it will be good quality. I am a sucker for Japanese made chef knives which can require a second mortgage to buy. I really like this knife. It is big and impressive. The blade is very sharp. It rivals my best Japanese and German steel knives. It's dangerously sharp.
