Staple We enjoy this as a family staple, when I don't cook my own fish for Shabbos. Taste is good, nice sized slices.Keeps for a few days .if
The cap is very hard to remove! I enjoy Manichewitz products but I had an awful time with the lid. I got it open and put it back on but it was stuck. I ended up using tools to puncture the lid and pry it off. I never had so much trouble with a lid.
Horrible stuff and tasteless This used to be goto gefilte fish brand of my childhood. Not any more. Horrible stuff. No taste at all. Buy Yehuda brand. Far superior.
Yes!.. This is very delicious and healthy. The unsalted crackers by the same brand compliments this gel fish. I will buy again.
Healthy-ish high protein snack, hot weather lunch, shelf stable I'm using this as an occasional snack, and a hot weather lunch along with a salad. After getting some for Passover, I realized that they are mostly fish and very high protein. Filling. I"m trying to eat a healthy diet.On a hot day, having this ice cold (with horseradish of course) is a cooling meal with no preparation whatsover. The jar is shelf stable until you open it. It's sort of a unique food when you think about it outside of the "jewish food" box. I'll be using it year round.I get tired of
Gefilte fish! Not my favorite Tried different brands this one had a strange taste
Satisfies the craving. I'm the only I know who doesn't say, "Gefilte fish?? Yuck!!" I don't eat it often but about twice a year I get a craving. Normally I don't buy the jelled broth but gave this a try. So good. Definitely hits the spot. Some good horseradish to top it off and sliced on a buttered matzoh cracker, and you'll be glad you did!
Tastes great Tasted great. I bought several and enjoyed them very much.
