★★★★★ (5/5) Very accurate, repeatable and easy to read I checked the accuracy of this gauge against a machinist straight edge for "straightness" of both scales and a machinist square for 90deg and both were dead on. I used a precision made triangle from Woodpeckers to check 45deg and it was exact also. It is a little long for checking angles on a miter saw but can be made to work. Works well setting up table saw angle cuts. There are many uses for this gauge and so far I am very pleased with it. I have found if you tighten the "knob" rather slowly i
★★★★★ (5/5) Perfect -- even has an "off" button Love this accurate, easy to use angle finder for all the reasons that everyone has already written about. Some folks complain about it not having an off switch to save battery life: there is a small button beneath the angle readout that gives access to the battery, if you depress that just a bit, the battery disengages instantly -- push back on the wider tray above the readout to re-engage the battery. Easy, effective and friction keeps the battery tray where it belongs.
★★★★ (4/5) Well-made; Useful; not perfect, tho'; Made to use with larger items, but OK for miniatures The the stainless-steel arms of this angle tool are definitely made to last a very long time. The digital read-out is easy to see and its housing seems to be a high-impact type of plastic, so that will also last a good long time. There is an "On" button that also sets the "zero" angle to be whatever you want, so it works for additive angles. There is also a "Rev" or reverse angle button if you need to measure an inside angle.I do wish it had an "Off" button, though, so I could turn it off th
★★★★★ (5/5) I love this tool I'm a woodworker, and I've never had a more accurate angle finder than this. A simple bevel square is fine for matching an angle, but this tool works for doing more complex work, like making accurate triangles, hexagons, or rhombuses for geometric patterns. The 1/10th of a degree accuracy outperforms any other tools for setting up my wedge sled for making segmented bowls and vases.
★★★★★ (5/5) General Tools #822: Precision Perfected! A Woodworker's Secret Weapon As someone who struggles with reading analog protractors, the General Tools Digital Angle Finder #822 has been a total game-changer for my shop. This tool doesn't just measure angles; it delivers precision and confidence, making every cut for crown molding, trim work, and complex joints perfect on the first try. If you are serious about clean, tight joinery, ditch the analog tools and get this.Accuracy & Display (5/5): The core function is flawless. The large, clear LCD display is easy to read f
