Great for masonry Ive used this for boring through soft brick as well as a stone foundation wall. For the price they work very well
Does the job I had a requirement for a single hole. This made it through brick and then block behind it. I drilled pilot holes around the border as others suggested. I went slow, but the whole process was 20mins or so with lots of stopping and dipping the bit into some water to cool it down.If you want to run a dryer vent see if you can find something slightly bigger. This 4inch bit was a tight fit getting the vent thru but I eventually got it. 4 1/8 would be the sweet spot I think.I have no plans or ne
Will not cut through brick Not sure what kind of brick other reviewers are cutting through. But on my red bricked home it would barely even scratch the surface of the brick. Ended up buying a diamond hole saw for double the cost but cut through with ease. This may work for soft concrete type blocks but not brick

Fantastic quality! Got it fast and the quality was much better than expected for the price... I was able to cut 5 holes in cinder block and brick very clean cuts. My contractor even offered to buy it from me now my use is over! He was impressed too!
Very rugged This did an excellent job. Very rugged. I drilled thru one brick and a concrete block. After I finished, the dryer duct and its 4 to 3 inch adaptor needed an additional 1/4 inch. I was able to use this bit to wallow it out buy angle it. Very pleased, well worth the money.
